Columbia Young Artists’ Club The Young Columbia Artists’ Club is a program designed to encourage budding artists to express themselves and explore art concepts away from a formal classroom environment. The Club will meet on Saturday afternoons from 2 - 5 pm at the Columbia Art League. The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month will be for 2nd, 3rd & 4th graders, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month will be for 5th, 6th & 7th graders. Working with professional artists and art educators, each month's classes will explore a different genre through the student's own creativity and by discussing the work of famous artists. Classes will run for 3 months in the Spring and in the Fall. Classes cost $40 per month (2 Saturday sessions) for CAL members and $50 per month (2 Saturday sessions) for non-members. All necessary art materials will be provided. Classes are limited to 8 artists. Anyone interesting in signing up, should contact Amy Meyer: 573-443-2131 or calarted@centurytel.net.
