Information and Benefits
For 50 years, CAL has been at the heart of the visual arts in Columbia: a venue for showing local artwork, a meeting place for artists, an arts education hub for adults and children, and a place to buy locally made fine arts and crafts. CAL has been a nonprofit organization for 30 of these years, dedicated to providing a stimulating environment for art through the annual Art in the Park in June, September's Boone County Art Show, the year-round placement of 400 artworks in venues across the city, and a schedule of 6 exhibitions each year in CAL's gallery.
Member support also provides funding to continue a variety of classes from the popular Summer Art Camps for youth to Art Without Borders for adults. These arts activities serve the mission of the Columbia Art League and bring the arts to everyone in mid-Missouri. |
